As I tinker with 3d printing, I have been coming up with a few miscellaneous designs. One of my more useful ones is a token holder for Zombicide: Black Plague, which I created a few days ago. Zombicide, like many games these days, has a lot of miscellaneous cardboard tokens. They are challenging to organize and store, and still be able to use quickly during a game. I wanted a way to keep them organized, while also storing easily inside the accessory box that comes with the game, since my main box is filled with foam to protect the painted zombies.
On Thingiverse, I found a few pre-existing options, but none that really covered my thought process, and none that were narrow enough to fit in the box alongside the tiles. So I dove into Tinkercad, and created my own. Thru a bit of trial and error (the photo is from the first prototype), I created a fairly efficient “brick” that holds all the pieces, can be closed with a matching lid, and is labeled for easy use. It fits easily into the box, without issue with the large game tiles. And the design just barely fits the 200mm bed of the 3d Printer.
If you are interested, visit my Thingiverse design and take a look. The design has been updated to adjust some of the slots slightly for better fit, and I added rounded corners to it wasn’t quite as sharp. This is printed with a resolution of 0.2mm and an infill of 15%.
