Norsca is our Troll “meat-shield” character, for our new/upcoming Shadowrun campaign. He is designed to be a melee brawler and main target, thus his general role as shield. Typically, such a character would be termed a street-samurai, but that implies far more skill, style, and training than Norsca actually has. Instead, the troll prefers very straightforward muscle and brawn attacks, swinging a sledgehammer in most combats. He has some basic training in explosives, and carries a pistol just in case. A couple of basic cybernetics round out his overall package, making him able to better find targets, and absorb damage as it comes in.
Norsca is played by my son George, who is not as experienced as some of our other players, and has no experience with Shadowrun or the setting, which is a part of why the character is rather straightforward and basic. However, it should be a rather interesting character, who takes a very basic and practical view to the world, instead of the more traditional hours of careful planning.
