I have tried numerous possibilities, and I still can’t seem to resolve what appears to be the final quality issue with the 3d printer. As you can see in the picture, I am getting gaps in the print at the start of the layer on the outer wall. It isn’t consistent by layer, but of the last several prints, it is present. I have tried slowing down the speed, reducing the retraction, increasing and decreasing the temperature, and adjusting the jerk and acceleration settings. None seem to have any impact on this particular flaw, and I can’t seem to find any similar symptoms online. On interior walls, I have the same issue in the same spot on multiple prints. At this point, my theory is a math flaw in the slicer (I user Cura currently), but before I spend $150 on Simplify3D, I really would like to exhaust all other options. I considered trying one of the other freeware slicer options, but I really don’t want to go thru the challenge of re-tuning all the parameters again, and many sites recommend simply jumping full tilt into the professional quality option.
If you happen to have any ideas, I would be open to try pretty much any option.
