The replacement fan arrived on time, was a simple install, and quite happily appears to have solved my latest issues. Heat creep no longer appears to be a problem – the extruder motor is comfortably cool, and after a quick re-leveling of the bed, the printer is functional again. I am re-running a larger print which has been on hold, to continue to expand my paint storage, and fingers are crossed that it will complete successfully sometime early this morning.
To be cautious, I did run a calibration test, which allowed for plenty of heat up time, just to be sure that everything was good to go, and I was very happy with the results.
