My other son, who did play in our first campaign for the duration, is opting to go more Divine instead of martial. In the last campaign, he played Harsk until the dwarf was killed off, and then swapped over to a necromancer-focused Sorcerer. This time, he is opting for Durgham Tess, Elven Warpriest.
Similar situation with the figure, he is undecided which one he will ultimately use, though I suspect he will lean towards the male figure. His character is an easy-going free spirit of Cayden Cailean, and although he is not as strong in a fist-fight, his magic and blessings help tilt the balance. Unfortunately, “elf”, “warhammer”, and “warrior priest” is an uncommon combination for figures, so we opted for a more generic Elven Cleric set.
An interesting cosmetic piece, as part of the concept, Durgham is fond of tavern drinks and tales. Since he wields a warhammer, we thought it would be entertaining to describe the weapon as including beer mugs or steins in the design of the hammer – which are both functional in combat, and out of combat, unscrew to provide a drinking vessel as needed. Not major impact on the game, but a fun little inside joke for him to play with.
