Other than a coating of protective spray, the wookies are completed, and I am fairly happy with them. The blonde hair turned out better than I had expected, and Chewbacca darkened rather well, compared to his initial rather red look.
The one area I am not so happy with is the aged wookie – it was intended to be a bit of grey in the fur, but I think I ended up going a bit overboard. I am not completely happy with it, but didn’t really have a way to fix it, short of going back to the base coat.
What really worked well was the gunmetal on black highlights – once that was done, the figures really popped a bit more. Before, they were rather bland and basic. And fortunately those details were not that hard, just a couple of spot touches here and there and some semi-drybrushing on the bowcasters.
Guess this means I need to get to work on the rest of the Rebels, and perhaps some Stormtroopers next.
