The first of our new adventuring group are my sons, each playing their respective characters (who have no in-game relationship).
The first is George, who is playing Durgham Tess, an Elven Warpriest of Erastil. His figure was painted entirely by himself, this is his second figure, but the quality is very decent. He has been considering altering the mace to his actually equipped warhammer, and even potentially sculpting it as a custom edition.
The other son Ben is playing Pokey Darkstrike, a formidable Dwarven Fighter. He wields a dwarven waraxe, but his claim to fame is his spiked shield, covered in blood from previous victims. Painting was done primarily by his mom, with a few details added in by myself. Ben decided he wanted to add a few more splatters of gore though, mainly on the axe and armor.
During our first game, the pair distinguished themselves in different ways against the bandit attack. For Durgham, he utilized his spell casting to enhance his defenses, and Bless the group, but then ended up falling to the bandit’s strikes. Pokey attempted to block the entrance to the outpost with the gate, but then readied his axe and dove into combat. Despite several strong hits, he stayed on his feet, and defeated several of the foes (one rather spectacularly with a critical).
As a side note – Ben is also our novice for this campaign, and brings an eagerness and creativity to the group. The rest of the group survived and completed the prior 3 year campaign, and understand the basic mechanics of what can and cant be done – Ben is still very much eager to try anything and everything, regardless of any artificial rules of the world. 🙂
