I must be doing something right, or perhaps I am being overly optimistic, because the activity metrics on the site are trending very favorably. Although statistics and metrics can always be misleading, I of course study them to try to see the future by learning from the past. Relative to the website at least, I have shown a steady increase in traffic since May, with a 10% or higher growth for each of the last months.
Admittedly, when the traffic is as low as it is, 10% is not much extra activity. And prior to May, these volumes bounced up and down seemingly randomly. The traffic has stopped bouncing however, and instead grown at a fairly regular pace, to the point that this month I have already broken the record traffic before the month is entirely finished.
What is the real world implication? Absolutely nothing. With traffic levels on the order of 200 visits per month or less, any potential revenue is practically zero. So this is all an exercise of looking at ants through a magnifying glass – a purely theoretical case study
Fingers crossed though that the trend continues, and with our ongoing video series, maybe we will even begin to start a regular audience.
