Revising the intro to our campaign videos a bit, to try to streamline and shorten the start. Basically, feedback I received was that it was too long waiting for the actual content – which is definitely true. With some revision and consolidation, I trimmed out about 30 seconds. It does seem like much, but for YouTube, 30 seconds is quite long.
I have also worked out a process to generate thumbnails with a bit more interest than the basic text on black. I am definitely not a graphic designer, so it is still very rudimentary, but hopefully it will be slightly improved – and will no doubt continue to evolve.
My goal is to create a in-game diorama of sorts, using the character figures and the custom terrain, to re-enact some portion of the story. This gives me a chance to generate a nice photo, show off the player’s painted figures, and share some of the custom terrain I have been building.
This new format will go out with Session 11, which should be available by Friday, 1/24.
I welcome any constructive suggestions, if you have any ideas.
