With the holidays, I managed to expand my X-Wing collection by a little bit. Admittedly there are a lot more ships currently available, but I am trying to limit myself to only old-school settings – I have limited interest in either the Prequel or Sequel forces. Specifically, I am only collecting Empire, Rebellion, and Scum forces.
The big piece was the Tantive IV Blockade Runner, my first and likely only Epic ship acquisition. In truth, I primarily bought it as a collectable piece, rather than truly expecting to field it in battle, though I added the Epic Ship combat rules just in case. Very few ships, except for perhaps the Star Destroyer, is iconic to me to Star Wars, and it now has a display space next to my copy of the Super Star Destroyer.

The second ship, and much more likely to be used, is the Scum Z-95-af4 Headhunter. My son is normally the one to play scum, so I expect he will field it most often, but it plays a nice supplemental role for a team which is rather heavy with oversized ships. It should be able to fit in nicely when there are only a few points left, and an additional team member is needed.
The third ship, which I believe finished off my collection for now, is the Imperial TIE/sk Striker. I am not very familiar with the ship design – I believe it only shows up in the Rogue One movie, but it was necessary to complete the options for the Empire. Unexpectedly, the wings are moveable on the model, shifting up and down, though from the included cards I am unsure of the benefit (other than cosmetic). Unlike the X-Wing, moving the wings does not seem to provide any tactical advantage.
