For the last few years, my focus on publishing gaming sessions has been on YouTube content, slowly trying to build an audience (or at least learn how to edit and create content). Near the beginning on this journey, I dabbled a bit in podcast formats, specifically audio only versions of the game sessions. These tends to be far smaller, faster to edit, and relatively easy to create once I have the final video files.
However, it was also a step that I ended up dropping since it didn’t seem like much of an audience with the growth of YouTube and other formats. Surprisingly though, my old podcasts still get the occasional access, at least according to BluBerry metrics. The activity is certainly small, but in comparison to YouTube numbers, significant.
As a result, I am going to go back thru the Age of Ashes releases, and convert/modify them for podcast format as well. Not sure if I will bulk release the backlog initially, or parse them out every week or so for a bit, but certainly in the future they would be published at the same time as the video files.
