As posted before, I ended up being inspired to paint up my Separatist Army for the Star Wars: Legion game. After spending time generating and deciding on a 800 pt list, I acquired the necessary models, assembled, primed and ultimately painted the entire set. Fortunately, droids are fairly straightforward, total time was less than 2 weeks from start to finish, including several days of priming, painting, and basing the models.

Following the painting, we have played two games with the force thus far, both resulting in a Separatist victory against Empire. Both were Recover the Supplies missions, against the same army.

In the first game, still learning a lot of the details, the Separatists barely pulled out the victory with a last minute dive for the supplies by a single lone B1 droid. Both armies had otherwise been decimated, though the Empire was still holding their AT-ST. Fortunately a conveniently placed building allowed the droid to hide and cower with his prize.

For the second game, we introduced some new players to the game, and I joined my son with his Empire force. The droids did far better, and had a commanding lead at the end with 2 to 0, and most of their forces intact. The B1s were of course decimated, but most everything else was still active while the Empire was left with only the AT-ST.

Having learned from the games, I may make some alterations, and either add some more droids, or swap out some other options in place of the AAT tank. Although it dominates, it is a lot of points for relatively little flexibility, though up to now it has really been heavily artillery only. I am eager to try it front and center as a shock force, moving forward and shielding the much weaker droids behind it.
