Planning on holding another game session of Twilight Imperium, sometime over the Christmas holiday. What better way to celebrate the spirit of peace and joy of the holidays, than to fight over galactic domination. At this point, tentatively looking at the 28th or 29th due to scheduling, but will really depend on player availability. Potentially will do both, since we are hoping to have the full group of 8 for the game this time – which will make it a longer game session (maybe stretching to both days).
I hit upon the idea of creating and printing a trophy for the victor this time, and settled on a design for a travelling trophy. After the game, we will inscribe it with the name of the victor and the date of the game, and they can hold on to it until the next time we play. Perhaps it will be motivation to high competitiveness, perhaps it will be lost or forgotten about, but it gives me something to work on until then.
Also considering a live stream, but that is a different challenge all on its own, and I really want to focus on the game itself. Regardless, more info to be posted once plans start to firm up.
