Continuing with the painting theme, I finally finished up a model I have had for a very long time – the Rebel Landspeeder. This is one of my first Legion units, back when I first started collecting, and one I was very interested in painting. But I never really had a strong vision for it, especially with the coloration of the crew.

Now that I am focused on my Rebels, and have settled on a Desert Camo pallet, this was a much easier decision. I do still want to add a bit more detail or interest to the base, and need to apply a clear coat varnish before I glue the canopy down, but it is otherwise complete.

For the crew on the back, I am thinking of using thin magnets, instead of gluing them in place. This would allow for their removal as appropriate, but still hold them in place during a game. My concern however is the extra thickness that will cause, and how visible it will end up being.

The rest of the Rebel Veterans and Troopers are finished as well, along with Jyn Ersa and the R5 astromech, but other than the basing, not much change from yesterday.

My next step is to prime another batch, likely the rest of the Veterans, a unit of Pathfinders, and a fresh unit of Commandos. That should finalize the pieces I need for the upcoming competition, right on target for the start of games.
