It has been a while, but with recent gaps in gaming, I am making some more progress on the painting backlog. My son and I are tackling more of the Legion troops, myself with a mix of Rebel and CIS forces, and George working on his Clone army. First up is an unlikely pair of droids, long part of my collection, but only now being colorized. I did end up applying some Nuln Oil to C3PO, and then a drybrush of a much lighter gold – brightened him up quite a bit. R2 looked a lot better too after the Nuln Oil – as usual that contrast paint is a bit of bottled magic.
Also working on Darth Maul and a collection of various droids. And painted up the Super Tactical Droid, though will likely wait until the bases are completed to show those off. Only a handful of more figures for the Droid collection, though with the recent releases, I have several new large models to add to the mix.
Also been considering doing some live streaming of the painting, but trying to sort out the logistics. Twitch streaming is fine, and I have a decent camera, but I need to be able to have enough space as well to be comfortable.
