Considering signing up for a local Star Wars Legion tournament using Skirmish mechanics and getting out to try some competitive wargames. Never actually have tried this before, beyond friends and family, so a bit of a stretch for me. Of course, I am opting to go entirely new, and play a Rebel army instead of my almost fully painting Separatists – but that will give me motivation to paint more models (painting is optional to play).
The event is being held at our local gaming store, Epic Loot Games, as a 6-week competition. Each week, players will be emailed their competitor, and they have a week to meet and game, wherever that may be.
Could be interesting, though not looking or expecting to do that well against “serious” players. Armies are using Skirmish format and restricted to 500 pts on a 3×3 board, with games starting in February and running thru mid-March.
