This last weekend had a slight change in our schedule – due to personal events we opted to switch the regular game to Saturday instead of Sunday, which gave us an unusual opportunity to have an extended game. Instead of our normal 5 hour session, we instead managed to reach nearly 9 hours, plus a 1 hour food break. This of course made the resulting video file far larger, but I was able to publish it to YouTube by late Sunday.
The group seemed to have quite a bit of fun, even if the game was rather combat heavy. The story has reached the Black Desert, a radioactive region in the Darklands, and the group has only just started their exploration. Fairly quickly, they were swarmed by Purple Worms, and then shortly thereafter were engaged several times by Urdefhan warriors seeking to test their skills, tactics, and abilities. During the second Urdefhan encounter, the creatures surrendered, and offered the group an audience with their warchief, along with an escort to their town a short distance away. Naturally, the group is dubious about their intentions, being that the Urdefhans are blood thirsty cannibals. As at least a couple of the group have mentioned however, they could use whatever help they can get against the dangers of the desert.
