It appears that the final piece of Chapter 2 of the Carrion Crown will be wrapping up this weekend, as the group faces off against the Promethean. This chapter has been a bit heavier on the roleplay and investigation, so it is finally time for a full drag-out fight. Of course, it happens to be at the top of an iron tower, in a thunderstorm with heavy rain and winds, while lightning strikes down at the machinery.
As the group has explored, they have suffered damage and even one death from the experiments they discovered, but they are holding strong. Assuming they can defeat the powerful golem, they can then discover the cause of all the problems and put an end to the local issues.
To assist, they have managed to activate the machinery, allowing them to control and coordinate with the Beast, and utilize his skills to hopefully even the odds somewhat. Even with that creature’s strength though, the fight will be very challenging given the situation.
The Promethean is a unique piece, scaled in size upwards for the beast’s size. It is a combination of numerous creatures with their abilities and was supposed to be the Count’s ultimate creation. Unfortunately, it has since gone insane, and now seeks to destroy anyone or anything that tries to gain entrance into the tower.
The model itself is from Battle Yak Miniatures, specifically the Wargast Kludge-Brute A model. The printing did end up suffering a fault, the right arm was warped in a strange manor, but it still works – it just makes the creature that much more fearsome. Painting was with Citadel Contrast paints, in a variety of colors, and then based on a filament printed base for the creature.
