As planned, and rather surprisingly, we actually managed to resume our old Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign yesterday. This is a campaign we began in April 2021, but then had to suspend in June 2021 due to summer activities. All of the players had been enjoying the game and storyline, but timing just was not workable, and we had our other larger group activities occupying the Sunday time slots. Over the months, we made several attempts, but it was never successful due to availability.
However, this week we resumed the story, now with updated and cleaned up graphics, tools, and details. Fortunately, everyone still had their characters, and I still had the notes and details from the campaign. Our old streaming format was horribly primitive and out of date, so I scrapped it entirely and quickly adapted our current Pathfinder format over. With some quick graphics, some transitions, and other fanciness, we had a workable stream format in time for the game. I also recorded a summary of the campaign before, as a recap, which may help bridge the gap if you are trying to catch up.
We also managed to add a character to the group, bringing the size up to 6. It did require a bit of a delay before the character could be introduced, since we ended the last session in the middle of a breaking and entering by the group, and admittedly the meet and greet with rather awkward, but it ended up accomplishing the goals.
Our campaign is using the classic campaign, The Enemy Within, and the group is currently in the first major part, investigating a sinister plot in the city of Bogenhafen, during the annual Shaffenfest festival. Thus far, they have many clues, and many more theories, some of which are accurate and some of which are wild speculation. But the entire group is intrigued and curious, trying to figure out what exactly is going on.
As always, I encourage you to join us for the livestream on Twitch, or for the archives later posted on YouTube. Current timing is a weekly game session every Wednesday from 6 to 10 PM EST, though that is of course subject to availability. There is a strong possibility this may be reduced to bi-weekly, or potentially change the game day.
