Episode 6 of our ongoing Star Wars: Legion Battle reports should now be posted and live on YouTube. This is a Breakthru battle between Republic and Rebel forces, set during Limited Visibility, and using Long March deployment.
George was our Republic player, using a slightly adjusted Rex force focused on rapid deployment. His units managed to cover quite a bit of ground before the snowstorm cleared and hold a commanding position near the center.
Andy was our Rebel player, playing a heavy-fur army with multiple units of Wookies and some Tauntauns. The Tauntauns in particular were fearsome, racing forward and crushing units wounded by other attacks. And the Fleet Troopers, despite the low reputation they bring, managed a pivotal attack early in the game.
Audio was the only technical challenge, I forgot to turn on the recorder at the start of the game. Fortunately, the dice camera managed to work as a backup – not the best audio, but certainly workable.
Of note, this is also the first game played on the newly finished Hoth landscape.
