Season 01 of our Star War Legion games kicks off this week, with our first battle report. All prior episodes are considered “training”, so do not count for the ongoing scoreboard – the scores are wiped clear, and we start fresh. Each week, we will have a new round of games, pitting one of the 5 factions against each other.
For the first game, we have a solid Republic vs Separatist army set. As always, both fielded 800-point forces, and we ended up with a rather high number of supplies on the board, due to multiple Supply conditions. Unlike prior games, this one ran nearly to the end of turn 6 and was rather desperate near the middle. For the Droids, I was running what I considered a rather experimental build, though it did perform well. The clones defaulted to their defense bubble, which was also a strong contender.
Future games will have each of our current Commanders playing the faction of their choice, all contributing to the ongoing overall scoreboard.
