Although the scale of my channel doesn’t match more established ones, it is a constant source of excitement for me when we set new records or milestones. In particular, our latest episode of Star Wars Legion (Episode 26, Empire vs Rebels), seems to be doing above average on the interest and watch time levels. It spiked shortly after it went live this morning, and have been viewed steadily during the day – at this point it looks like it is on track to set a new first day record for our channel. Admittedly, we are only looking at hundreds of views (not thousands or millions), but for a small hobby channel, it is still a lot. Especially since prior to our Legion content, I was excited to get 10’s of views.
The audience also continues to grow steadily, adding several new subscribers after every video. Still not high enough for monetization, but I view it as right on track to hit that level sometime this summer. Not sure how to celebrate that achievement, but likely will do a giveaway or perhaps a special themed game.
Slightly different topic, Atomic Mass Games has released their “Special Forces” mini-game ruleset for Legion, which has me intrigued to give it a try. The rules are rough, and they are looking for feedback, but it might be a fun diversion with our group to try a more focused small unit battle. Also really need to get X-Wing and Armada moving again, been itching to play those some more.
