As is likely evident in the recent posting frequency, my focus has shifted somewhat to alternative platforms. Mainly YouTube community is where I have been posting most of my updates, and it feels redundant to double-post to a website at the same time. I need a consolidation tool, that would allow for cross posting to all the platforms at the same time, to really be reliable.
However, the YouTube piece is really focused mainly on the Star Wars content (and mainly Legion), so I am also doing a disservice to my other content. This would include the RPG campaigns (Pathfinder and Warhammer), any woodworking projects, my tech activities, and all the other miscellaneous projects and tasks I come up with.
To that end, I am going to try to renew my motivation here, and start to cover the non-Star Wars pieces a bit better.
However, the big news for today is that the YouTube channel has reached the 400 subscriber milestone after another 2 months of uploads. For reference, the first 100 was a 4-year journey, 200 was 15 weeks, 300 was about 13 weeks, and now 400 is at 12 weeks. I would say it is accelerating as expected, but it isn’t the rapid climb that is implied by YouTube studies – at least not yet.
For the side channels (Pathfinder, Warhammer, Cthulhu), I have a few subscribers – in the 10-20 range depending on the specific game system. Not a lot of interest there as expected, but still worth it to me to continue publishing. I find that process simple and straightforward, and it is a useful catalog of memories in my mind.
