One campaign that continues to be going strong is our Warhammer Fantasy/Rolemaster mashup, playing (loosely) the Enemy Within campaign. This storyline has been going on now for nearly 3 years (with a 1-year break in the middle) and is very popular with the players involved. Despite schedules, we are able to routinely get together and continue the challenge, despite the relative slowness of the story.
Currently, the group is locked into and engaged in the assault of Castle Wittgenstein, suspected of harboring Chaos forces and having cursed the local region. For the past 5 sessions, they have battled the defenders, first by sneaking in thru the caverns beneath the castle, and then in outright combat against the undead and corrupted castle guards. As of this last session, the group has finally reached the main manor of the inner bailey, and started to explore, when they were set upon by some unexpected foes – a large beastman Minotaur, and separately, a full Chaos Knight.
Based on the current timing, we are potentially looking to wrap up this chapter of the storyline sometime in the next 3 sessions, before we move on to the next chapter of the campaign.
