Making a change on my postings to Patreon, to take advantage of some new features. Specifically, I am going to start posting our video previews as Video links rather than Text articles. In the past, I would create the post, then provide a link to the unlisted YouTube video, with a screenshot from the video. It worked but was really a poor match.
Patreon added in 2023 the ability to upload videos instead, so there is an option to do a Video posting instead. Originally, I planned to upload separately to Patreon, but it also provides the option to embed a link to another location (YouTube). This way, no text link is needed, and the video is directly accessible thru Patreon. And the usual membership locks restrict access appropriately until the video is published publicly.
If you end up checking out this option, let me know if it works or if there are problems. Still learning a lot of these options, so may have some unexpected issues.
