We hit another milestone for our YouTube presence (Halfing13) this morning, breaking into the 700-subscriber mark. For our channel, this is major, but for most of YouTube, it is just a small blip. The Star Wars Legion content appears to have been making steady progress each month, though our video production schedule has been challenged at times. The goal of 1000+ is one step closer to realization. Unfortunately, with the apparently cancellation of X-Wing and Armada, that content may not materialize – though my collection hopes to still play at some point.
As an aside, our RPG side channel (Halfling13_Roleplay), has been receiving a lot of new content recently as our new campaigns started off. Still not growing in terms of subscriber count, but then as long as we have been posting, it never has really been very high. Most of this is more for curiosity, and as a long-term record for myself and the group, though there are a couple of people interested in our storylines.
I was for a short time posting our video blog content to the same channel, and I suspect it may have been confusing the algorithm with mixed content. As a result, I have now shifted our Viewport videos into another side channel (Halfing13_Viewport), to keep the content focused. No idea if this will catch on or not, but its a fun exercise for me and a way to practice speaking to the camera. If you have interest in our behind the scenes stories, or the latest events, give it a try for shorter videos. Video quality and format is still early in its evolution.
