With my recent focus on painting efforts, I had a bit of a break from the dwarven warband, and opted to paint up a large Treant, specifically Ohro the Tree Shepherd from The Beholder Miniatures. I am intending to use this piece for a special Mordheim scenario, king of the hill style battle.

You may also be noticing a bit of a trend, in that most of the recent models are from The Beholder Miniatures. Their style is very Warhammer-esque, and I like the poses and such. As a result, we have several of their collections, and seem to be constantly collecting more. Very solid artist in my mind, and worth supporting.

The Treant itself was painted mainly with drybrushing, and a couple of small details. It was a pretty fast effort, other than waiting for washes to dry, I think it was only about 3 hours.

I also have a new photography setup, based on other online tutorials, that I think really showcases the model quite a bit better.
