• If you ended up watching the Rise of the Runelords video from yesterday or listening to the podcast, first, thanks for being my limited audience.  Second, you likely noticed a lot of background noise on the recording, mainly due to impact noise caused by movement on the table translating into the rather sensitive microphone.  In order to help pick up some of the more silent voices, I moved the microphone to the center of the table – unfortunately this meant that it then picked up all the nudges, shakes, and knocks from the table as well. In an effort to…

  • Finished up the video for the latest game session, though I had challenges with the audio on this one.  I was attempting to get better pickups, but that required the microphone to be in the middle of the table.  Unfortunately, the tripod has no shock absorbing, so there is a lot of impact noise that carries thru, which is difficult for my novice skills to clean out.  I am working on a 3d printed shock mount to compensate, will be testing it at the next session. In the current session, the group finally faces Mokmurian, the villain of Chapter 4,…

  • In which the group finally faces Mokmurian, stone giant spell-caster leader of the giants, and villain proposing a large scale invasion of Varisia. Uploading the podcast format of the gaming session, for those who prefer that option.  If you prefer video, reference the YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/h5ECAiNjdrU

  • As I posted yesterday, I am itemizing my various 3d Printing materials, in the hopes others might find them useful, and perhaps generate Amazon associates traffic.  If these items are of value to you, please consider using my affiliate link, in order to contribute to the site. I mentioned I used Gray PLA from Hatchbox for most of my printing.  However, I also have a temperature sensitive blue to white PLA from Gizmo Dorks (http://amzn.to/2HJMf2V), which I used to successfully print the large sized skull project for my son.  I was hesitant initially – color changing PLA is more expensive,…

  • In an effort to try to generate an active and valid Amazon associates account, it is necessary for me to drive 3 purchases thru Amazon, of products I provide links to.  This in turn generates a small bit of income for my site, sharing a commission at no cost to the buyer with me.  Admittedly, my website traffic is very small, but just in case, I wanted to go over the gear that I have settled into using with my 3d Printer.  If you want to help me out, consider each of these links as a small way to do…

  • Continuing to mass produce the tiles and bases, keeping the printer running non-stop.  At this point, I have another big set ready for assembly, right as another batch of magnets arrived.  Paint is ready to go as well, really the only piece I am missing now is more super glue.  Should be enough to fill out my collection, and allow for most decently sized rooms.  After this, I will need to expand my scope to include the unusual shapes and sizes, though for the most part those won’t require a large quantity. Managed to just about finish off the second…

  • Its been a while since I have played, though I continue to collect and gather the pieces.  In theory, we might be able to fit a game in this weekend – one of our gaming group players has been asking to play again and seems rather eager.  Of course, that means I have to find a spare evening or day, which is difficult with the current schedule.  If it works out, I hopefully will have a battle report video to post.  And this will give me a rare opportunity to team up with my son and play the Empire against…

  • I was distracted last night, and forgot to post my regular note, so here is a make up one 🙂  While I am travelling this week, I have been pushing the 3d Printer to run non-stop again, continuing to produce the True-Tiles (thanks to my wife for removing parts and cleaning the tray as they finish).  After the last session, I realized I still had a bit to go, to make sure I have enough pieces to fill out whatever room the group goes into.  There isn’t any particular pieces that are missing, more of a general total count.  However,…
