• New Carrion Crown

We resume our Carrion Crown Pathfinder 2e Campaign this week, with the group continuing on their collision course with the Whispering Way. They are currently struggling their way thru the ruins and catacombs of Renfield Cathedral, facing a deadline of undead, while struggling with dwindling resources (and party members). Current schedule looks to be 5 or so more sessions before this long campaign is finally wrapped up, which will be the 3rd overall Paizo campaign our groups have completed from start to finish.

  • Still not happy with the overall appearance and layout of the theme of the site, so you will likely see a few changes happening over the next few weeks when I have time to research. If you have a suggestion for a theme, let me know. Thus far, everything feels either overly complex, far too basic, or just very busy. Hard to find a balance between what I want to publish, the graphics, and the usability.

  • Solved another problem with the new WordPress implementation – permalinks are now functional again. Everything I found only kept pointing me to reset the .htaccess file, which functionally was irrelevant (but likely viable in a different case. For my issue, the specific problem was that pretty permalinks was broken, but basic permalinks worked fine. The solution was actually an Apache issue – when I enabled SSL, I used a bare bones configuration for the sites-available file. In my case, I needed to add the <Directory> directive to the SSL virtual host (it existed only in the non-SSL virtual host. Specifically,…

  • Discovered the site was having multiple issues post migration, including a failure of the SSL system and numerous graphics links being off. Those appear to be corrected now, I have fixed the SSL certificates, and with a bit of tinkering updated the various links and media files. Mastodon still is offline, I failed to recognize the inability to run multiple servers from the same public IP, so I have to do some re-organization of that service before it can be accessible to the internet again.

  • I believe I have successfully completed a full site migration, to move off of my prior hosting service. Since the website doesn’t get a lot of traffic, a self-hosted option is more economical. I am hopeful everything has been caught, but if you notice anything missing or non-functional, please let me know. SSL certificates will be re-established shortly, and performance will improve in the next couple of days with some hardware increases. Functionally, I have until January 8 to confirm everything, before my old account is wiped.

  • Hasn’t been much growth or focus on our Etsy presence, but I am happy to say that I consider it a success. Though our product listings are small, there is an audience for them, and I have sold a handful of physical products. This has encouraged me to start expanding the options, I have added several PLA color options to the printed parts, and I have a few new wood-cutting options on the way. As our Tabletop channel grows, we have the opportunity to highlight and demonstrate some of the products and test them in real-world use. H13Hobbies – Etsy

  • Just about a week or two ago, we had our first Traveller/Shadowrun campaign start, with a one-shot I entitled “Horizons”. The primary focus was to experience the mechanics, understand the general power level, and see which systems worked or needed adjustments. Our intent is to use the Shadowrun 6th edition ruleset in a Traveller-based setting, with the group the crew of a trade ship working their way thru the universe. For the most part, the game was a success. With pre-generated characters, we were able to walk thru most of the basic systems – netrunning, magic, combat, skill checks, etc.…

  • Within the last couple of days, we have hit yet another milestone, and reached 600 subscribers on our Tabletop channel. For YouTube, this is a small audience, but for our little hobby project, this is massive. My thanks and appreciation to everyone who has subscribed, and especially to our regulars who comment and provide feedback. Thanks to the feedback, and perhaps some experience, the number of in-game errors has come down notably and the skill level of the players has improved. Terrain continues to evolve, and although my mini-painting has stalled out due to my work schedule, we have been…
